Today you can hear Olwen playing a prelude by Georg Phillipp Telemann (1681 - 1767) on the tune "How brightly shines" (R&S 182) ...Telemann was a German composer who became music director of the Opera in Hamburg. He was aprolific composer, writing operas, oratoios, cantatas as well as much instrumental music. The accompaniment he has set to the tune sounds very much like a hornpipe - - a British form.
Olwen took up the organ in her 40's after having played the piano since she was 6 years old. She now plays the organ for us most Sundays.
