Why don't you come in for a drink
and a chat? Soon after our new
building was finished, the Revd. Ivy Halden took up a comment from the Queen Mother that there was nowhere in Windsor where the elderly could get a reasonably priced cup of coffee or tea. We didn’t have enough people to run such a service, but, through Churches Together, ladies from the Roman Catholic Church said they would do a Tuesday, and the Anglicans offered to do the Thursday. The Anglicans had to give up after a few years, but the Catholic ladies have run the Tuesday coffee morning in our building for many years. Unfortunately they cannot find enough people to continue. We are very grateful to them for their faithful service. For the current Church Activities please click on the link button above.
Because we are a small group we don't feel able to ask an outside speaker to come, so we usually make use of the expertise within the church family. We would be very pleased to welcome anyone else (including friends from Maidenhead) to our meetings. There is a small charge – 50p per month – and for that you get a drink, cake, fellowship and fun. It is not a club – we do not have members – but a group of people who meet together. We are changing from the 2nd Monday to the 1st Monday (except on the bank holiday when we will meet on the 1st Monday). Meetings start at 2.30 in the Jack Long rooms in the Church, unless otherwise advertised.
